Coverage against theft of vehicles
Full risk insurance without excess (CDW and SCDW)
In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, the customer is obliged to fill out an accident/damage report and hand it in to our office. In the event of theft of the vehicle, the client is obliged to report the theft to the police and deliver the report to our office. any accident or damage to the vehicle that is not reported will be interpreted as negligence on the part of the client and the client may incur additional costs. the insurance taken out by the lessor covers the lessee and authorised drivers under this contract against civil liability (damage to third parties) in the amount of fifty million euros (€50,000,000).
Not included in the price and considered extras:
- Additional drivers: €3/day.
- Any accessory such as navigator, child seats, etc... whose price is available at the time of booking.
Not covered by insurance:
It is the resposibility of the renter the following cases of loss or damage:
Loss or damage to keys.
- In the event of an accident, transport to the hotel from the place of occurrence.
All Costs caused due to wrong type of fuel being administered to the vehicle.
Towing Service (only when the client incurs in negligence that is not covered by insurance).
- Loss or theft of antenna.
VISA and Mastercard are accepted.
24 hours, 365 days a year.
The vehicle is delivered with a certain level of fuel at the time of rental, and the renter must return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as when it was delivered. No reimbursement will be made for the wrong fuel level.
Proturcar SL is obliged by law to provide the authorities with the details of customers who receive a traffic fine during the rental period, and it will be the customer who will have to pay the fine directly to the authorities.
Abandonment of the vehicle
Customers who leave the vehicles at a location other than that agreed in the rental contract will be liable for the costs incurred as a result of non-compliance with the contract. Furthermore, in addition to the daily rental rate, a daily penalty charge of 30.00 Euros (including VAT) will be applied.
Vehicles can not be taken abroad or between islands.
Customers will need to provide us with a local address (flat, apartment, villa, hotel, etc.)
The minimum driver age is 21 years, with a driving license with a length of more than 2 years.
If the vehicle category reserved is not available at the time of collection, we will provide one upgrade at no additional cost.
The insurance does not cover, in any case, accidents or damages caused to the vehicle by driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medications or any other substance that reduces the driver′s ability, or when the driver is not one of the authorized drivers in the contract, or even so, if the damages occur due to breach of what is established in the contract or the basic traffic regulations.
- The transport of goods or animals may be only with the express consent of rent a car PROTURCAR SL. Non-observance of this regulation can be a special cleaning, provided the customer with up to €95.
Standard or extreme cleaning
The rental price includes a standard cleaning of the vehicle, however, in the event that the vehicle is returned in an extremely dirty condition, Proturcar SL will be obliged to charge €95 for special cleaning.
Cancellations without penalty must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the rental period, which is understood to be 08.00 h on the first day. Otherwise the following will apply: Between 48 h and 24 h 50% of the total agreed price will be paid. - Less than 24 hours, 100% of the total agreed price will be paid.
Late return of the vehicle
If the vehicle is returned later than the date agreed in the rental contract, the insurance will be invalidated and the customer will be liable for the payment of €30.25 per day (including VAT). In addition to this payment, the customer will also be responsible for the payment of the daily rental rate.
Airport pick-up and drop-off
Airport pick-up is on the 4th floor of the car park building, in the lift hall. Drop-off is on the 3rd floor. Delivery or return at the airport requires a minimum of 3 full days of rental, plus the payment of the corresponding extra charge for each service; otherwise the reservation will not be valid.
