At Protur Cars, when you hire a car with us, you’ll always be covered with our comprehensive insurance with no excess or deposit, meaning you can drive with total peace of mind. These are the coverages you’ll receive when you book our service:
- Comprehensive Damage Coverage: You are protected against any damage the vehicle may suffer during the rental period. This includes damage to the bodywork, windows, mirrors, rims, and tyres.
- Total Liability Waiver (SCDW): You won’t have to pay for damage to the vehicle itself, thanks to the total liability waiver that covers all types of incidents, including theft of the vehicle.
- Theft Coverage: In case of vehicle theft, you are fully covered. You will only need to file the corresponding police report.
- No Excess or Deposit: You won’t need to leave any amount as a deposit or pay excess fees in case of an accident or vehicle damage, which means no surprise costs.
- Third-Party Liability: You are covered by a third-party liability policy that protects you against damages caused to others, with a limit of up to 50 million euros.
Conditions to Maintain Coverage
For all these coverages to be valid, in the event of an accident or damage, you must complete and submit an accident report at our office. In case of theft, a police report will be required. Failing to report an incident may be considered negligence and could result in additional costs.

Additional Coverage with the Protur Cars Pack
By adding the Protur Cars Pack for just €6 per day, you get even greater protection that covers unexpected events typically not included in the standard comprehensive insurance. These are the additional coverages you will receive:
Loss or Damage to Keys:
Any cost arising from the loss or damage to the car keys will be covered. Without the Pack, such an incident could incur a significant cost.
Theft or Loss of the Vehicle's Antenna:
You are covered if the vehicle's antenna is lost or stolen, which is typically not included in the basic insurance coverage.
Fuel Error:
If you make a mistake while refuelling and use the wrong fuel, the Protur Cars Pack will cover the repair costs and the vehicle’s transport to the workshop, preventing significant expenses.
Transport in Case of an Accident:
If you suffer an accident, the Protur Cars Pack covers transportation to your hotel or accommodation from the scene, so you don’t have to worry about getting around.
