Terms and Conditions

Included in the Final Price:

• VAT and taxes included.
• Unlimited mileage.
• Coverage against vehicle theft.
• Comprehensive damage coverage with no excess or deposit, as it includes CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), which exempts the customer from liability for damage to the vehicle, and SCDW (Super Cover Damage Waiver), which provides total liability exemption for damage to the vehicle and/or theft, including windows, mirrors, rims, and tyres.

Obligations in Case of Accident or Theft:

• In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, the customer must complete an accident/damage report and submit it to our office.
• In case of vehicle theft, the customer must report it to the police and present the police report at our office.
• Any accident or damage that is not reported will be considered as negligence by the customer, which may result in additional charges.

Insurance Coverage:

• The insurance provided by Protur Cars covers the renter and authorised drivers under this contract against third-party liability (damage to others) up to a limit of fifty million euros (€50,000,000).

Not Included in the Price (Extras):

• Additional drivers: €4/day.
• Additional accessories (GPS, child seats, etc.), with prices provided at the time of booking.

Not Covered by Insurance (Costs Charged to the Customer):

• Loss or damage to the vehicle keys.
• Transport from the accident site to the hotel.
• Refueling errors. If the wrong fuel is used, the renter will be responsible for the repair costs and transport to the workshop.
• Loss or theft of the vehicle’s antenna.

Note: These incidents may be covered by purchasing the Protur Cars Pack for €6/day.

Credit Cards:

• VISA and Mastercard are accepted.

Assistance:

• 24-hour assistance service, 365 days a year.

Fuel Policy:

• The vehicle is delivered with a full tank and must be returned in the same condition. If returned with less fuel, the customer will need to pay the difference at the current rate, plus a €20 service charge for refuelling. No refund will be given for refuelling with incorrect fuel.

Traffic Fines:

• Protur Cars SL is obliged to provide the authorities with the customer’s details if they receive a traffic fine during the rental period. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay the fine directly to the authorities.

Vehicle Abandonment:

• Customers who abandon the vehicle in a location other than the one agreed upon in the contract will be responsible for any costs incurred. In addition to the daily rental rate, a daily penalty of €30.00 (VAT included) will apply.

Restrictions:

• Vehicles may only be driven in Mallorca and cannot be taken off the island.
• Customers must provide a local address (flat, apartment, villa, hotel, etc.) during the rental period.
• The minimum age for the driver is 21 years, and they must have held a driving licence for at least 2 years.
• If the booked vehicle category is unavailable at the time of pickup, a higher category vehicle will be provided at no extra cost.
• The insurance does not cover accidents or damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication, or other substances that impair driving ability, nor when the driver is not authorised by the rental contract or does not comply with traffic regulations.
• Transporting goods or animals requires explicit consent from Protur Cars SL. Failure to comply may result in special cleaning charges of up to €95.
• Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited.

Vehicle Cleaning:

• The rental price includes standard vehicle cleaning. If the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty condition, Protur Cars SL will charge a special cleaning fee of €95.

Reservation Cancellation:

• Cancellations without penalty must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the rental (08:00 on the first day). Otherwise:
  • Between 48 and 24 hours before the start, 50% of the total agreed price will be charged.
  • Less than 24 hours before the start, 100% of the total agreed price will be charged.

Late Vehicle Return:

• If the vehicle is returned later than the agreed date, the insurance will be void, and the customer will be charged €30.25 per day (VAT included), in addition to the daily rental rate.

Airport Pickup and Return:

• Pickup is at the 4th floor of the parking garage, in the lift hall. Return is on the 3rd floor.
• Pickup and return at the airport require a minimum of 4 full days of rental (96 hours), plus an additional fee of €110 for each service. Otherwise, the reservation will be invalid.
